The worldwide total of DSL lines grew by almost 5.5 million during the first 3 months of 2003, an increase of 15.2% for the quarter. In absolute terms, this is a slight increase over the last quarter of 2002, when 5.3 million lines were added. Taking into account the seasonal effect,leading to stronger sales of technology products and services in the second half of the year, this points to sustained and steady growth in the global DSL market.
