
ONLINE MUSIC AND E-COMMERCE DOMINATE
FASTEST GROWING SITES,
ACCORDING TO NIELSEN//NETRATINGS
NEW YORK, NY June 15, 2000 The Internet ratings report for the month of May 2000 from Nielsen//NetRatings, the fastest growing Internet audience measurement service from Nielsen Media Research, NetRatings, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTRT), and ACNielsen eRatings.com, shows online music and e-commerce led the fastest growing sites at-home for the month of May.
Leading the pack at No. 1 was Planet of Musics site with a 340 percent growth to 2.5 million unique visitors. Rounding out the Top 3 were NextCard, which jumped 178 percent to 4.1 million unique visitors, and WebTrends Live, a provider of enterprise solutions, which grew 107 percent to two million unique visitors. Other fastest growing sites in the Top Ten included Victorias Secrets site, which increased 82 percent to 1.2 million unique visitors during the month of its Cannes lingerie Web cast, underlying the success of its Web marketing. The controversial Napster site shot up 77 percent to 2.8 million unique visitors.

Music and Movie Sites Sing with Traffic
Entertainment marketers have taken note of last summers impressive
Internet marketing of The Blair Witch Project, and are using the Web
as an integral marketing tool this summer. As music and movie fans gear
up for the summer fun, the official music and movie sites belonging
to Eminem, Britney Spears, Limp Bizkit and the movie, "X-Men",
jumped in traffic from April to May, indicating fans at-home hit these
sites for the latest news and to check on tour dates. Leading the large
growths in traffic was Eminem.com, soaring 182 percent to 442,000 unique
visitors, followed by BritneySpears.coms 57 percent rise to 423,000
unique visitors. X-Men-the-Movie.com grew 36 percent to 174,000 unique
visitors and LimpBizkit.com increased 34 percent to 195,000 unique visitors.
