INTERNET USERS CASH IN ON PRIZE SITES AT WORK,
ACCORDING TO NIELSEN//NETRATINGS

 

Data highlights for May 29-June 4, 2000:

NEW YORK – June 9, 2000 – The Internet ratings report for the week ending June 4 from Nielsen//NetRatings, the fastest growing Internet audience measurement service in the industry from Nielsen Media Research, ACNielsen eRatings.com and NetRatings, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTRT), shows that sweepstakes and prize sites continue gaining popularity among at-work Internet users. Gamesville.com’s audience grew the most among all sites, jumping 99 percent. During the week ending June 4, Gamesville.com had a unique audience of 703,500 as compared to 353,300 unique visitors the week prior. Of those at-work Web surfers visiting the site, 71percent were female and 29 percent were male. Other prize sites that saw considerable growth in traffic this past week included: EasyWinning.com (51 percent) and RadioStakes.com (45 percent). The sixth stickiest site of the week among at-work Internet users was iWon.com, as those who visited it averaged nearly 30 minutes on the site.
