INTERNET TRAFFIC JUMPS 114%, AT-WORK,
ACCORDING TO NIELSEN//NETRATINGS
- Nasdaq Moves Internet Traffic
NEW YORK, NY – April 19, 2000 –
This month’s most recent data from Nielsen//NetRatings, the
fastest growing Internet audience measurement service from Nielsen
Media Research and NetRatings, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTRT), indicates office
workers were actively monitoring their investments online during
a month in which the Nasdaq was extremely volatile. Within the workplace,
online traffic to Nasdaq.com soared 114 percent, attracting 745,000
unique visitors in March compared to 348,000 in February. Other
financial investment sites also saw significant growth in traffic
at-work this month, including: StockMaster.com (36 percent), MultexInvestor.com
(33 percent), MarketGuide.com (33 percent), Quote.com (25 percent)
and ETrade.com (24 percent).
