Sports Sites Score Big Among Internet
Users At-Work and At-Home
March was a big sports month among
Internet users. Leading the line-up, Sportsline.com had the largest
traffic increase with a growth of 87 percent (at-work) and 66 percent
(at-home). Much of the traffic increase at-work can be attributed
to the NCAA Basketball Tournament (a.k.a. March Madness) where Internet
users were filling out their brackets and keeping track of the scores.
Other sports sites also saw significant growth in traffic at-work
this month, including Rivals.com (61 percent), Sports.Yahoo.com
(50 percent), FoxSports.com (31 percent), and ESPN.GO.com (27 percent).
