operators’ continued spending cuts (notably in Europe) given the
depressed economic climate, IDATE has chosen to update its world
telecom equipments market forecasts for the period running from
2002- 2006. We will start by dealing with the adjustments made to
our former 2002 estimates before turning to the forecasts covering

end of 2001 close to 75 million individuals around the world (or
32.3 million homes TV) were iTV service users (whether browsing an
EPG, subscribing to PPV services, using VOD services, connecting to
an independent iTV service, taking part in a
enhanced TV programme or accessing the net via their TV set). By
2010, iTV service usage will therefore involve 300 million people
around the world. |
